Mercy Works

From Terroir NLV, we seek to produce the fruit of mercy and compassion because they are the very things that God extended to us when he saved us.

God’s heart always goes out to the sick, weak, helpless, impoverished, oppressed, and needy. And so in the words of John Wimber, the founder of the Vineyard movement, “If we ever ignore the poor and needy, we are as good as dead as a church!”

Mercy Works is just a name we have coined for our ministry or service to those in need.

We may not seem to be terribly organized in our work but we urge everyone in NLV to get involved to help others who are poor and in need.

Just let it happen when someone has personally moved you to compassion and you wish to touch the person’s life with the love of Jesus!

Speak to your leaders and pastors if the need seems greater than what you can personally carry, and that may become another project of our church.

Check upcoming events to see if there is an activity or project which you can come and serve and take part in.

Footnote: Terroir (Tear-Wah ) is a French term used in wine making, which may be interpreted in many ways, but a basic definition is “the coming together of the climate, the soil and the landscape”. Concerning a particular vineyard, terroir comprises the local factors that enable the growing of the best fruit and which makes its wine distinctive.
