As you go into the world
When Jesus gave the “Great Commission”, he emphasized that as we go into the world, we are to preach the Gospel. To us there is this extraordinary “idea” of taking the time as you go about doing everyday stuff, and watching to share with whomever God has placed in your path. As missiologist Chuck Van Engen would say, “mission is on the way.” So when you think about the concept of missions solely in terms of going to another country, you may miss the point of what missions is about. This way everyone can play.
We see that the mission of the church includes reaching the people where we live, work and play. As you go means that missions is not to be just a church program involving a few. And as you go into the world, before you know it that brings you to an actual foreign land where the people live in other cultures and speak other languages.
