Blessing you with true riches of the..

Sorry for not posting an entry earlier. It’s been quite a hectic time at church with a pretty busy preaching schedule, finishing up the “hearing God series” with “The framework for hearing God”, and in the last two weeks, preaching on the kingdom of God. At my “other” job, we were running on a pretty tight schedule from the weekend before November 20, to complete a share placement that will raise for my company $48.6 million. Not bad, hor?
In the meantime, my hope to host a Christmas 2006 service and lunch were “dashed” because many people will be away. We wanted people to invite other people, especailly unchurched, to come and see (and like who are, what we do). We had a grand time last year.
I will probably entitle the Christmas sermon, “The Real Christmas Carol” or something appropriate as the message is still evolving. I’ll probably do another sermon on the kingdom and make it relevant as a New Year message, before moving on to speak on “Worship” then maybe on “Healing” and “COD” (Casting out Demons) in the New Year.
Feeling physically tired but generally in good spirits. Mostly because I have really “enjoyed” the fellowship meetings lately. Some new faces show up each week to keep things challenging and the “regulars” and after service meals make the meetings warm and familar. My preaching’s up to speed, could always be better, and I need to continuously remind myself to keep it simple, make it relevant, and let “God be heard.”
As I shared at church yesterday, Susan and I are taking off for a short holiday, to Japan, for 7 days from this Wednesday! We announced that there will be no fellowhip meeting this coming Sunday and we resume our meetings on 24 December. It was great to see you, Jui Hsiang!
Now I hope to do the lunch fellowship on New Year’s eve, after the Sunday Service. Do let me know if you are reading and don’t mind coming or bringing a friend!
