Rest is good
Yaay, I am on one day leave today, and may be on Monday too. In one year of work as the corporate financial officer, I have only taken one day so far, on Susan’s birthday. This may tell you that I am a hoarder, like a squirrel, always storing stuff for future consumption. Susan will buy shirts for me but I will keep wearing the same old stuff, not because they are comfortable, but because I “sayang” (love) to keep for them for a special occasion. But I keep waiting for a more special occasion to come. This is same for my little wine collection; and in the rush of Shawn’s wedding, I forgot to pop the special bottle of champagne, or drink the Chateau Lafite Rothschild that I have been hoarding and waiting for my children’s wedding!
But I have seriously digressed. I am actually quite exhausted and this day of rest will do me good. I have planned to move books from home to stock up the church library, go to ALBY to stock up on Vineyard music CDs, visit Tecman with Lydia this evening to select the Biblestudy material that the Young Pros will use, do a bit of planning for my next sermon. I hope I can catch a movie and shop for a wedding anniversary present for Susan. May be also take a nap and exercise (go for a brisk walk).
Do pray for me?

If there’s no rest for the wicked, there’s surely peace and rest for the blessed
