A special message

God is such a risk taker, to make Eve so desirable that Adam could actually choose to exalt Eve above him. But let me tell you through Eve and women in general, God has a special message to say to the world.

There is story about a man who lived on the mainland but his wife worked on an offshore island, like Singapore and Sentosa, except much further apart. It was very inconvenient for the both of them, and they could only get to one another by ferry. And so the man asked God to build a huge connecting bridge so that they could drive and meet each other at anytime.

But God told the man, “It will take a lot of effort and I can do it. But, why don’t you take a little more time to think what will really help your relationship?”

The man thought for a while and finally said, “Lord, you are right. I wish to understand my wife better. I want to know what she feels inside, what she thinks when she gives me the silent treatment. Why she says that I must know for myself what she feels because if she has to tell me then it will spoil it all. Tell me Lord how I can make a woman truly happy?”

God kept silent for a few minutes and then said, “Tell me, how many lanes you want on that bridge?”

The world thinks that women are hard to fathom. But quite simply, the truth is that God made a woman especially for a man to love.

The well-respected poet William Blake said, “The naked women’s body is a portion of eternity too great for the eye of man.” Do you know what was Adam’s reaction when God introduced Eve to him… “Wooo man, that’s really cool, Lord!”

Seriously, through the desire of a man to love a woman, God is saying something sweet and special to the world. He says:

I have designed you for love, for desire reveals design.

Like a bird is designed to fly and a fish to swim, I have designed you for love and relationship. I want you to know me intimately and to relate closely to me.

Look at Jeremiah 29 and Psalms 27. God tells us to seek him with all our heart. And we will find him. And the one thing that really satisfies is to be in the presence of God, to delight in him and be enthralled by his beauty.

Listen, God is saying to you:

Won’t you seek me with all your heart? You will find me.

Won’t you delight in me and gaze upon my beauty?

Won’t you see afresh how much I love you and how much I intend for your good!

Trust me to show up for you this year!

i like how “desire reveals design”. What’s the phrase that follows that? “Design reveals destiny”?
