NLV inaugural service

We have back-dated this journal entry to read “29 May 2005” the day the fellowship started its Sunday Service. This is our way of gathering stones to build a small altar, marking a significant point of our journey and for offering our thanks.

It has been an amazing adventure for all of us, and it was wonderful to be at the inaugural service of New Life Vineyard. Our hearts are filled with gratitude to God, who has in the first place called us into his kingdom of light. And as we set out to plant this church, he has been leading us each step of the journey and he has blessed us so richly in the whole process.

As we have shared at the service, how important the people in this fellowship have become to us! We feel as if we have a new baby to care for and nurture, in addition to the three children that we already have. But the process is keeping us young. It’s keeping us on the ball as we are learning new stuff all the time about God and about people.

We have laughed with you and we have wept with you. Thank you for the love, care and help that you have shown to us. We have been enriched by your lives. We are so grateful to God for you.

We thank God for the privilege of shepherding this fellowship. And we continue to look forward wholeheartedly to do work, which he has prepared in advance for us to do here.
