Receiving the declared word
I believe that God is reminding me of a particular word which had been declared concerning me. So I say, let it be to me in accordance to your word! It was in a note and I reproduce it below:
Dear Lye Heng,
I had a deep impression in which God spoke to me, “Tell Lye Heng that he is a man who understands grace and through his ministry many lives will be renewed.” I shared this with you.
Today (about 16 months later), durng my QT, the Daily Bread passage was from Zachariah 4:1-14. As I meditated on the passage, I thought of you when I read verse 7. “Who are you O great mountain?” Before Zerubbabel, you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” Today’s QT showed me that you, Lye Heng are like Zerubbabel (a leader of the church). You are laying a firm foundation and one day the people who benefit from your minisry will see the grace of God working through you. In verse 6 the Lord said to Zerubbabel and also to you today, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit.” In the performance of your office, you like Zerubbabel will channel the Spirit’s enablement to God’s people. Some people may say that your achievement are small (even you yourself may say that to yourself) but note verse 10. “Who despises the day of small things?” In Zerubbabel’s time, some though to the work on the temple was insignificant. But God was in the rebuilding program and by His Spirit would enable you (like what He did for Zerubabbel) to finish His tasks for you. I believe God wants me to write this to you. Only you will fully understand what God has in store for you. No mighty mountain can stand in your way.
